Germany is a modern, cosmopolitan country with about 82 million inhabitants. Its society is shaped by a plurality of lifestyles and truly different ethnocultural diversity, a high standard of living, and freedom of choice.
Cultural and educational affairs as well as sports play an important role in Germany`s foreign policy. The Cultural Section of the German Embassy in Lusaka is dedicated together with other German and German-Zambian cultural institutions to promote contact, co-operation and understanding between the people of Germany and Zambia.
On the occasion of the 4th Year ''Ulendo'' Graduation Art Expo by undergraduate students of the Zambian Open University, German Ambassador Achim Burkart spoke about the importance of the zambian-german arts cooperation.

The German Embassy is pleased having received an overwhelmingly positive feedback on the exhibition that was hosted in the former building of the Embassy in March 2016. Centered around a Tayali fresco various Zambian artists from all genres displayed their art work and thereby the diversity of Zambian contemporary art.

iMOVE is an initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research to promote and facilitate global business and co-operation between German training providers and international public and private organisations. iMOVE is a section of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training, providing collaboration opportunities and helping to establish contacts with high-ranking officials and individuals from the education sector.
